CAFE Z CHAIRS

Fusing two chairs into one used as a metaphor for human relationships. The missing legs are not only the sensual demand for a tête-à-tête, but also the load will be carried by the respective other. Everything which is apparently missing is now the fundament for communication and gives the opportunity for the jump towards the opposite.

Treatment:  legs remove, fused and upholstered with leather.

The Fusing Chairs are made out of the classic Horgenglarus Bistrochairs (Mod. Classic 1-380) for the project Cafe Z am Park in Zürich. These are to be used and seen in the Café during 6 Months, after which they can be bought at an auction evening, giving room to new chairs after.
